Just Makin' Stuff

The spring is moving right along, after the snow at Easter it has been really nice, lots of sun and warm weather. All the trees and shrubs are early, and the garden is ready to seed. It's just a worry because it's a month too early. I'm afraid we will still get a killer frost before long. Ah, but that's the challenge of gardening...

Looking from the Corner of the House at the Shop
Poppy Leaves

In the shop I've been making stock for some summer shows and markets. Jacqueline shot some video of me wedging and kneading some 5 pound bowls. ( lets not get into a discussion about what is wedging and what is kneading..)

Here's some quick shots of those five pound bowls and a board and a half of tumblers. There are three six pound platters and three eight pound platters that are slipped and drying out untill they are hard enough to be sgraffitoed. (sgraffitied? sgraffitized?) Today I started making some wine goblets,(my next show is at a winery) which will be soon followed by some more mugs.
